Oakland Goes Outdoors

logo design + brand asset guide

In conjunction with the design + marketing team at the San Francisco Foundation, I created a visual identity system for their initiative, Oakland Goes Outdoors. OGO will ensure every child in middle schools across Oakland will have equal access to environmental education and nature-based experiences. Input from the students themselves revealed a strong emotional connection to Oakland and oak trees, which ultimately inspired the final mark. The vibrant identity evokes a sense of pride amongst the students while also suggesting growth, learning, and youthful energy to donors.
